Rob Peabody
Strategy
Rob Peabody is part of the strategy development and delivery team at The Vertical Solution with a deep background in SaaS, Professional Services, and Non-Profits.
As the former Co-Founder and CEO of VOMO, Rob successfully launched, built, and exited the market-leading volunteer mobile app leveraging the strength of technology to power a global volunteer movement. The Chief Happiness Officer, as awarded by the 2020 Stevie Awards, works tirelessly to ensure VOMO keeps driving A Movement For Good.
Ever the visionary, Rob founded the nonprofit Awaken in Dallas, and then opened it’s European offices in London and Budapest. While in the UK, he also started a conference for millenials called The Pursuit. He would go on to serve as Global City Leader of London for the International Mission Board. Upon his return stateside, Rob and his brother Joel set the wheels of VOMO into motion in 2017, changing the volunteer engagement landscape for the better.
By 2019, VOMO had formed a partnership with Sony Pictures to create the Be A Neighbor Campaign coinciding with Sony’s release of the film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. The campaign marked November 16 as a day of service to pay homage to the life and legacy for Fred Rogers. The Be A Neighbor Campaign was relaunched in 2020 to assist with COVID-19 relief efforts in addition to the hurricane and wildfire crises.
Aspiring to aid COVID-19 relief even more, VOMO granted users free access to the platform in March of 2020. This would lead to the company to earn Most Valuable Corporate Response to COVID-19 from The Stevie Awards that same year.
Other titles earned from The Stevie Awards include: Chief Happiness Officer—Rob Peabody; Company of the Year—Computer Software, Small; and People’s Choice Favorite Company—Computer Software. VOMO also landed on Dallas Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in North Texas list.
When he isn’t volunteering and promoting social impact, the author and former megachurch pastor spends his free time with his wife, Medea, and their three school-aged children.
